Because traveling in a wheelchair often leads to complications: The bed is too high, the shower not at ground level, there is no safe trail into the sea… But that is different at Alkyóna Beach. We deeply feel that every person should be able to enjoy a wholesome holiday. This objective is at the heart of our work. Since day one, we are approaching it with great commitment. For that reason, we have optimized the beach area, our holiday houses and our holiday program for handicapped. With us, you will experience a safe and carefree beach holiday for wheelchair users!

Beach Terrain
The area is flat and has paved pathways connecting all buildings. There are spacious changing rooms, high sunbeds and even a safe trail leading right into the water.
Holiday Houses
Five of our holiday houses are suitable for wheelchair users. All of them have showers at ground level and toilets with handles. Care aids are being provided on request.
Excursions
With our wheelchair-accessible buses we are offering a wide range of excursions. Together we visit the most impressive local sights and take part in wine tasting sessions.
Care Services
We are offering individual care services for people with a handicap and the elderly on site. Medical care is also ensured. In Katerini, there is a hospital with dialysis unit.
Travel Assistance
You want to spend a holiday on your own but need help traveling? No problem. We come and get you at your front door and escort you to your destination safely!
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons and activation programs are a unique service offer at Alkyóna Beach. Qualified staff members give individual swimming assistance in the sea.
Activities for Wheelchair Users
A walk to the saline
In no longer than 15 minutes, you will get to the saline with its huge salt water pools. Covering yourself up it sludge and letting it dry in the sun is a natural and healthy peeling. It helps against many skin diseases like neurodermatitis.
